Fantastic Fables by Ambrose Bierce
Online Collection
Fantastic Fables by Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914), 245 Fables with a flair of modernism and legality. Of the ones that are of a similar title, the story is quite different from what would normally be Aesop; often with a twisted humor. Some are outright hilarious the way he makes the original fable have a different meaning. The fables are slightly of a more mature nature but still readable by any age. There are no morals to go with these but the meaning is still there. They are not sorted and the order is as published. |
