You need Java to be able to see this image
as it allows it to be viewed in a Panoramic mode

I created this Java Applet some time ago for my Mars Panorama project and figured that it would work well in this context also. It does wrap around between 1000 AD and -1000 BC, but I feel it allows a decent view of some of the History of the world. Aesop is listed about -600 BC, I had to add him. The image is courtesy of HyperHistory.com go there for a more detailed view but no Panorama :-)
